The IEEE Information Theory Workshop (ITW) covers all topics broadly related to information theory. In addition to its traditional scope, the 2016 edition will also focus on the intersections of information theory, machine learning, and compressed sensing. The conference will take place at Robinson College, the youngest of the Cambridge colleges founded in 1979, offering modern dedicated conference facilities in a cosy residential setup and easy access to the sights and attractions in central Cambridge that lie within a 10 minutes walk of the college.

PS: you may want to also attend the International Symposium on Turbo Codes and Iterative Processing taking place the preceding week in Brest, France. There are inexpensive direct flights between Brest and Stansted Airport. Unfortunately since we posted this announcement Ryanair has stopped direct flights between Brest and Stansted Airport. It is now quite complicated to get from Brest to Cambridge (e.g. car to Dinard then Ryanair to Stansted, or flight via Paris to London City or Heathrow, or train via Paris) and you may need to travel for most of one day to get from one conference to the other.
